Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camps at the Y are all about discovery. Children have the opportunity to create new memories and friendships, explore nature, and gain independence all while trying new, fun activities!

CAMP GOALS
- To provide a memorable, educational, enjoyable, and enriching experience for youth.
- To help children grow mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually.
- To help children develop good character.
- To help children gain an appreciation of nature.
- To help our staff develop and refine leadership skills.
Our goals are to help people reach their full potential in spirit, mind, and body. We teach children to develop and maintain physical fitness, to grow in faith, and to interact with others in a healthy manner. In addition, everyone in our camp exemplifies good character through positive interactions. We define good character as exhibiting a caring, honest, respectful, and responsible attitude.
Through our daily programs, we create a positive experience for each child. At our camps, children learn to develop a strong rapport with their counselors and their peers. Our programs create enriching experiences that children remember for a lifetime.
SUMMER CAMP PRICING
Preference will be given to full-time (5-day) registrants.
Summer Day Camp is open to participants who have completed kindergarten through age 12.
Please make checks payable to The YMCA of Reading & Berks County. All returned checks and declined online payments will have a $20 NSF fee included in your outstanding billing. In the event of two or more returned checks, cash or credit card will be required.
We believe all children deserve to be a Y kid, regardless of their ability to pay. That’s why Financial Assistance is available upon request to those who qualify. Also, special payment arrangements can be made with the program director or executive branch director.

You can register online or by completing all paperwork in the 2025 Summer Camp Catalog parent packet and emailing it directly to Ashley Price at [email protected] or mailing it to our facility.
Eligibility:
All paperwork must be completed and returned at least one day before your child attends. If there are any incomplete sections/pages, we cannot accept your registration and may delay your child’s start date. We will accept registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Your child must have completed kindergarten to be eligible to register for summer camp in accordance with the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Monday – Friday | 8 AM – 4 PM
Need extended hours? We’ve got you covered. Families can register for an optional Summer Camp Wrap-Around Care in the AM or PM tabs. Each session is an additional cost.
